Interpipe NTRP

Railway wheels under KLW brand are produced at the company's renowned Interpipe NTRP mill in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. In the mill structure there is also a steel melting shop, that enables us to enforce quality controll at all stages of product manufacturing – from steel melting to the acceptance test of wheels and tyres.

Production facilities:

• Forging-rolling line for production of wheels from 650 to 1269 mm
• Forging-rolling for production of tyres
• Mechanical finishing floor
• Heat treatment lines
• Shot blasting line
• Non-destructive testing (ultrasonic, magnetic and hardness testing)
• Finishing line

• 4 open-hearth furnaces
• Out-of-furnace steel treatment, including ladle and vacuum degassing unit

New mini mill

The Company is currently building an electric arc furnace Interpipe Steel. The new facility represents an investment in excess of $700 million and will be capable of producing 1.32 million tons of round billets and blooms per annum providing INTERPIPE with high quality steel for the company’s pipes and wheels.  

The new mechanical finishing line will also be built as a part of the project.
